Examples of Passive Voice

Active to Passive:                          
Direct Object, Indirect Object, Verb.

1. He told me that they were ill.

    (They were ill was told to me by them)

    I was told that they were ill.

2. She is giving me a book tomorrow.

    A book is being given to me tomorrow (by her)

    I am being given a book tomorrow (by her)

3. He should take the medicin.

    The medicine should be taken (by him)

4. Someone will clean my house.

 (My house will be cleaned by someone)

    I will be having my house cleaned.

HAVE SOMETHING DONE : HAVE MY HOUSE CLEANED

5. A hairdesser combed my hair.

    I had my hair combed.

(My hair was combed by the hairdresser)
