WILL / CAN / COULD / MAY / MIGHT / WOULD / SHOULD (OUGHT TO) / MUST / SHALL / NEED

I will go to the amusement park. / I should go (ought to) to the amusement park. / I must go with him / Shall I go with you? / I can-could-may-might go with you / Would you like me to come? I would go with you if you wanted me to / He need come (He needs to come)


 Rewrite the sentences with the modal verbs in brackets:

1. It’s a good idea to go to the doctor if you feel ill. (should)

You should go to the doctor if you feel ill.

2. I’m sure that wasn’t him, he is in Barcelona today. (can’t)

It can´t be him / It can´t have been him.

3. You don´t need to go if you don´t want to. (have to)

You don´t have to come.

4. We weren’t able to find the place he sent us to. (could)

We couldn´t find the place we were sent to.

5. There is a chance that we found a wedding dress in this shop. (might)

We might find a dress. / We might be able to find a dress.
